I think it depends on what you are using it for. Kindle was created more for reading, while the iPad was created as a Very easily breakable portable computer.
I am sure with the newer developments of the Kindle, u can probably surf the net, while with the iPad you can basically do everything you are doing on your computer right now.
read upon both and see which one you like better.
ipad!!! The iPad is like a real computer almost. lol. Tons of apps. Better yet. You can resell your iPad when the new ones comes out and get your money back. Apple iPads, iPhones and iPod touch hold their value for years. If you buy and iPad 2 for $500 you can sell it next year for like $400 easily if you take care of it. Kindle is a new product and is has not reached full maturity in the market.
