Where to go if you're getting kicked out of your house?

Answer #1

It depends on your age and location. In Canada, you can leave home legally at 16, but in most states in the US, you have to be 18. That means your parents can’t legally kick you out if you don’t meet those restrictions. I’d strongly recommend calling child welfare and talking to them - they could likely put you in a foster home for the time being until the issues with your parents are worked out. (Sorry - I’m just assuming the question is about you).

ok,,, are you being kicked out? if so, why? how old are you?

as both a nightmare daughter and a mum now, i would honestly look at what the problem is…

things now are not so simple as 15 years ago when i was 20, god, by 20 i had been living in and out of my paretns for 4 years >.<

i have been at bth ends of the spectrum…

would be really helpful to understand why you are being kicked out.. IF you want to avoid it, or if you would like to just go out there an be independent…

in england, you can legally move out of home when you are 16 (assuming you can find somewhere to accept you)..

but, in all honesty, i wouldn’t advise it… and unless there is some ‘real’ clashing between you and your folks, it would be a really good idea for you all to look at what is going on, and how it can be avoided.

please post some more information about your situation and what has provoked such a severe response x
