Is anyone out there a hair expert?

Attn: To anyone that can help me! I have highlights in my hair that are old and they are light brown, but, now Im looking to dye my hair black, question is will it go or will it come out funny? And I think a friend of mine said that I need a filler… is this true? If there’s any one out there that is a hair EXPERT! I really need your advise! Thanks :) Celeste

Hi,

I think a lot of it depends on how long you’ve had highlights. If you’ve had them long enough that the dye to make the highlights is no longer there, it should be ok. However, the pieces of the highlight might be darker/stronger when you put the dye in.
