Japanese breakfast?

What is japanese traditional breakfast meal?

Answer #1

I asked a friend who spent a bit of time in Japan about this. She informed me that there are different local foods a common one was a sort of bean paste. When she asked her host family about it they pretty much told her it tasted like crap and to have some pancakes. Personally I found that hilarious.

Having been to Japan myself I would say there is a lot of western food there. I ate at a Denny’s, not exactly local faire. While I couldn’t read the menu at all really, I didn’t see any pictures that weren’t easily recognizable. The food was all really good, though probably more westernized than what you would be looking for.
