Why isn't there a way to filter the newest questions from the oldest questions?

Who really wants to answer something from 5 years ago?

Answer #1

When you click on “questions” on the top left those go from the most recent to the oldest. You’d have to click on the last page to get questions from 5 years ago.

Answer #2

Hmmm.. When I search out keywords for questions it seems to be very random is all. Or maybe it’s because I am a noob and still working my way around. Thank you.

Answer #3

When you search specific key words yes it is random, but if your just searching for the most recent questions there under the questions portion.

Answer #4

When you search - it’s relevance ordered, not time ordered…so, depending on what you searched for, our relevance algorithm may end up pulling up older questions.

However, keep in mind that if you are reading it, odds are, somebody else may do the same…so it does add value to post a good answer (and it gives you points) :)
