Is this pathetic?

So I’m in my dorm room, STARVING, (I’m completely broke only $0.70 in my account and can’t find a job around here ANYWHERE) so I was throwing something away in my trash and I noticed a takeout box…I dug it out, opened it and it had chicken tenders and fries…I am eating them…is this pathetic that I am doing this? I am really really really really really really really really hungry…I don’t have money to buy food and I’ve been living off grits for the past few days…

Use craigslist to find somebody who needs an errand run, etc…

as other said, find a local soup kitchen (if you’re in college, the career center or student services can help you find one)…seriously, don’t just sit there, do something and you’ll be fine.

I went bankrupt before & couldn’t buy baby food…the day we ran out, I got lucky & found a quarter in our couch and was almost crying b/c I could feed my son lunch that day…things happen, just remember, if you keep working & struggling and don’ve give up, it’ll be OK.

Bet cha got cable, high speed internet, a car payment, and a cell phone. No wonder there is no money for food.

Not being a jerk anymore, go to a food bank, as that is what they are there for. As soon as you can buy food, take care of your needs first, and then give back a little more than you took from the food bank, so it can help someone else in need.

You aren’t the first one who has been in this position, and you won’t be the last.

Many of us have had to struggle through our darkening days, but it does get better.

In the meantime, look for some resources or help near you: Soup kitchens, churches, friends, family, neighbours.

Where there’s a will there’s a way…and don’t worry, even I have had to dig my way through garbage at one time.

Prioritise. I’m assuming you are paying for the internet you are on now right? But you can’t afford food?
