is there a guy code on asking out a friends ex

ok so I went out with this guy for 5 months and we broke up 3 months ago, and me and 1 of his friends have gotten to be close friends. I’m starting to really like him, but I don’t htink he will ask me out because of my ex…oh and my ex is still in love with me (or he thinks he is) I don’t know what to think, but I do know I want to be with the friend…REALLY BAD!!

if your ex still has a thing for you, then his friend will give you up even if your ex has no chance with you , unless they’re not that good of friends
