Infamous 3 red rings on xbox 360?

So what does it mean exactly when your XBOX 360 has the infamous 3 red rings? What exactly makes it do that? Lemme know if theres anything you can do to prevent it

It a signal that it has been on or ran too long there are some special silicone parts so the best thing to do is to turn it off unplug it and rap it in a towel Lay it on its side were the two usb ports are to your left.. What this does is it basques in its own heat and keeps these plastics parts in place

It is fixiable, and easy.

Send it to Microsoft, it you bought it before Today 3 years ago, if not, find someone who can take it apart

apparently a lot of xbox 360s have already died the 3 red rings or when the power button glows red is when the consol is about to die once it does die theres nothing you can do to fix it, so all you can really do is throw it away or recyle it there isnt anything you can do to prevent it from happening though if it does happen to your consol you could try complaining to the company though because a lot of people are angry that theres died but if nowone complains they wont be able to fix the problem for it and the new generation one because theyll just think it only happened a few times but its happened a lot

I just sent mine in fixed it free. it overheated. go on line xbox and they will print a ups lable for you to send it to them
