All you have to do is be your own pearson. Think of who you are and be that pearson. When someone else is telling you to do something think if thats what YOU want to do and then do it or don't do it. When it comes to following a trend, don't be like everybody else, make your own one and be happy with it, and when people stare at you because your wierd or something walk with pride cuz really theres nothing wrong with that. Use things nobody else uses, do things nobody else does... The key to do that is to just be yourself.
Its all mind over matter - you have to first realize when you are following a person or a trend and learn to stop yourself. Its okay to draw inspiration from other people or trends but its important to be your own person. Take a look inside yourself and find out who you truly are, what your personality really is, and go from there.
