Is there anyway to stop following a question(details will make more sense)?

Anyway I like to answer questions occasionally and I like to see what SOME people think as well. But sometimes I leave my response and then a million other people answer it…so I get a million of alerts and I honestly don’t care too much about that certain question anymore, plus half the time when that happens I just asked my own question so I see an alert hoping it’s an answer to my question but it’s for the other one. So is there a way to stop receiving alerts from question I don’t want to follow anymore…

ive asked for some of my answers to be deleted because it can get annoying..

anyway even after my answer was deleted i still for some reason got alerts from the question :S

oh well, but i dont think its possible.
