it is important to get approval from your healthcare provider before engaging in any exercise. so make sure you work closely with your doctor to educate yourself about your condition and that you understand how and when to use any medication or inhaled steroid treatments that have been prescribed. it’s best to run in warm, humid conditions. before you start running, take the extra time to warm up. the warmup, a walk or easy jog, will help your airways adjust to the increased demand. start out slowly and don’t overdo it! rest when necessary and listen to your body. and to avoid sudden changes in the temperature in your airways, a cool-down period of a minimum of like 10 minutes is recommended. that will prevent an asthma attack that sometimes occurs immediately following an exercise session. a warm bath or shower immediately after your run may also help

Answer #6

i played football with asthma, i always carried my rescue inhaler, but more or less i just ran and got into shape, once i was in pretty good shape i still had attacks but less frequent, once i was in the actual football game my adrenaline would allow me to run quite a bit.

Answer #7

idk i dont think track and bad asthma will mix together too smoothly.. jus sayin

Answer #8

I think that the best thing to do is to go ahead and talk to your doctor so he can let you know what you can do and what you can’t do, you don’t want something that can harm your health. Your doctor can also, if he approves this, tell you what you can do so you don’t have a problem while running.

Answer #9

Swimming. It stregthens your lungs and you can do breathing exercises while swimming. Yoga and pilates can also help. Then what inhaler do you have? You need one for chronic use that you use EVERY single day of your life to keep the infections and asthma at bay.

Answer #10

Actually it’s good to run if you have asthma it streghtens your lungs, but it has to be under control when you start.
