Is imperialism good or bad?

I know that most people are against the war in Iraq, I am in a way. But I am a strong beliver in imperialism. If the small country cannot compete with the great, take em over. we need oil, they have plenty of it. See, wars have been fought since the dawn of man, especially over natural recources. But my only problem is that we are not taking over Iraq, if we clained Iraq for the good of the American empire, I would be happy. But to take over a cuntry and give it back makes no sense, it should be part of us now. and I have a brother in Iraq… Anyone agree

true, wars have been fought since the beginning of man, but humans evolve. we don’t need all of the violence and ignorance that we unfortunately still have today, we are no longer the butt scratching, flea infested, narrow-minded cavemen. most of us, anyway.. imagine if another country started a war with us over here and barged through our houses while we were at work and searched through our personal things and shot at people in the streets, and raped your wife in front of your child. don’t you realize that that is what some sick american soldiers do? like thedude said, if suddenly another country came through ours and did this, you wouldn’t be all for it would you?

“ we make war so that we may live in peace”
you cannot live life without violence, murder, and war, they are a part of life. If another country could plow into America, they would. We make sure they can’t by flexing our muscle and attacking first. And if we have to take out another 50 countries to make sure we have the natural recources our society needs to survive, so be it.

No…mostly because, picture this:

China takes over the US next year, because they can. Does that make it right?

Not to mention your ignorant acceptance of the millions of lives lost…don’t we all have a right to live our own lives, free from violence, murder and war?
