What is the nth term?

k the sequence is 9, 17, 29, 45, 65, 89, the sequence difference between each number goes: 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and then the sequence difference goes: 4, 4, 4, 4, so what is the nth term? and how do you figure it out? please help as I’m really stuck and also how do you find out the nth term in general for these types of sequences?

Look it up, its called quadratic sequences, there will be a site that would be much more help.

to figure out the nth term you have to find the difference between the numbers. so in this case it is 4, then look how many from 4 it take to get to the first number of the sequence… which is 8. so to get from 4 to 8, you have to add 4. so the answer for this would be 4n+4
