Jeez.. grounded for 6 months? Anyway, I’d politely ask your mom (preferably when she’s in a good mood) if it would be okay to let you be ungrounded for just your birthday. You could say something like, “I know I really messed up and everything, but I’ve been trying really hard these past two months to make up for, and I promise I’ll never do anything like that again. And since my birthday is coming up, I was wondering if you’d let me have a party.. yadda yadda.” Something like that. I hope this ends up well!

Speaking as a parent, The thing to do is have a talk with your Mom. Let her know that you understand WHY you were grounded. You accept that the grounding was justified, and that you would truly try to do better, and as a new teenager you will make mistakes and you are grateful for her guidance and help, and that you are NOT going to bug her about an early release. Let her know that you would like a bit of freedom on your birthday IF IN HER OPINION you had earned it. Then DROP THE SUBJECT ENTIRERLY. Do not bring it up again. Continue doing well around the house and try to realize that your Mom is doing this because she loves you and wants you to learn responsibility. Good Luck!!
