im I the only one whos tired of taking these pills?!
is there any way to get over depression with out having to take these stpid pills and listening to people who think they know what their talking about, just because they read it in a book? because man this is getting old!
coming to terms with…why am I depressed. then moving on too…what can I do/ non med wishing you the best of luck…depression isn’t an easy thing to kick.
How do you they just got it out of a book? Would it help if they’d been depressed at some point too? Or do you not want someone treating you who has had problems before? I’m in a counseling program, I was depressed for several years, so obviously when I actually start seeing clients, everything I say wont just be coming out of a book… I know it’s hard to remember, but your therapist is a person too…
And to answer your question, I am assuming you’re doing cognitive behavioral therapy? If you dont feel you’re moving forward, ask for a different type of therapy (DBT is now being used for depression)… and if you dont think the medication is working, ask them to switch… There is no short cut here… But there are other options… And some people find help through spirituality/religion… It’s an avenue to explore
My best friend suffers from deprestion as well. I dont know it personaly, but I do see what she goes threw. If you dont feel whats happeing is working for you, you need to tell your doctor. You should have someone to talk to, its going over things in your life and learning how to deal with them in a diff way. Everyone suffers from it in some way in there life, weither its a chemical inbalance or just a bump in the road. With time and a postive thought, you can get threw this. Try to think of the positve and not the negative and you will see the sunshine threw some day..
Just think happy thoughts and dont cut your wrists because there are some mayjor arterys there

if it’s clinical depression then it’s classified as a medical problem, medication is really the only way to keep you stable. (I didn’t read that in a book…)
