im getting braces. any advise?

do they hurt? what can I eat?

I have braces the first 3 to 5 days they will feel a little swollen put the wax on them if they start to hurt butt eat soup,ice cream,yougurt,etc but they will become very swollen inside but out youll look fine sooo good luckk

It really just depends on your tolerance for pain and what you need them for…

In my opinion, the first week is the WORST it hurts and you’re just getting used to them… ‘Spacers’ are brutal.

I don’t have pain in my mouth anymore, I got used to the feeling. It’s occasionally sore after wires are tightened, but rarely…

For me anyways.

It hurts sooo bad!!! But only when you get the tightened. Somtimes I would cry because it hurts so bad, and the first time you have them, you’ll have to put wax on them because your mouth isn’t used to the braces so you’ll have blisters!! I had mine for 3 years.

when you get them they wont hurt but after a day your mouth will ache a little bit but thats it. as far for eating you pretty much just stay away from stick food or hard food and you can chew gum if its sugarfree=) hope I helped

the first 3 or 4 days after getting your braces tightened you can eat anything soft, baby food, soup, yogurt, etc–
