Im 13 to , I sarted to smoke when I was about 8 years old . But then I quit , when I got to 12 I hung out with 15 - 17 year olds . Yes I know I was a little young haging out with older people , they smoked , did drugs , when they asked me if I wanted some I said No , but one night when I was at home my mother always lefted her bag of smokes beside the couch at night. I took one and went in the backyard and sat on top of my hottub and lit it , the first puff I didnt inhal it , the second one I did . At that moment I was addicted. and when I hung out with my older friends I smoked ciggarettes with them . that was when I was in grade 6 now I am in grade 8 and still smoke . I have tried to quit for a long time but it does not work . I want to quit but it is just to hard . So im sorry to tell you but you cant quit unnless you do go to the doctors or something .

You need help if your only 13…I don’t think you can buy patches at that age or take medication? You really DO need to see a doctor ASAP!!!

Answer #5

Okay, here’s th thing, quitting is not an easy task. Look at it this way, you’ve only been smoking for 3 years. Yes maybe you are addicted maybe not. It took me at least 4 tries before I quit and that was 3 years ago. If you started because all your friends were, then I’m sure you thought it was “cool” . NOT! You have to really WANT to quit to be sucessful. Smoke the last one, wet the pack, toss them in the trash and say “ I will not smoke another one for as long as I live” Get up in the morning and start fresh. Think about how bad you smell, your hair smells. And your clothes do too. Do it for your health NOW! You can do it!!! Good luick. Let us know how you are doing okay?By the way, if you get the erge try chewing gum or life savers help too, that’s why they call them that! LOL

hate to break it to you honey, but even if you quit your chances of relapse to it are tripled cause you started smoking early.I read that statstistic on a website and I am living it now.

I picked up the habit when I was 11.tried quitting 4 times with pills, patches and straight up cold turkey and I cannot stop.something always triggered it back to me.

im almost 19 years old honey and im still here..you’re still alive and kicking.

count your blessings.

but if your still adamant on quitting all I can say is good luck, cause your going to need it.

Answer #8

Answer #9

I started when I was in grade 6. I’m in grade 11 now… hooolly crap lmao. but anyway, quit while your young.

Answer #10

im 13 too, I’v tried quitting at least 6 times and I have smoked since I was 11. its really hard for me to quit because my mum let me smoke so I became more addicted to them being able to smoke them all the time, and not having to hide it. now my mum wont let me smoke and is making me quit, its still hard but I dont smoke as much as I did because I have to hide it. I think eventually I will quit completely but I need to get in with a different group of friends. just try and either change the people you hang around with or say no if they offer you one. try and take your mind of them and everytime you get the feeling you want one, distract yourself and take your mind off it :)! good luck ;D!

“How to “quit” smoking?”

You can’t “quit smoking”. You CAN “become a non-smoker”.

There is a big difference in the way your mind and body reacts to the two attempts. In “quitting smoking” your mind and body tell each other that you are trying to deprive it of something it likes and needs, therefore it works hard at preventing you from succeeding.

In “becoming a non-smoker” you successfully attain your goal while not giving your mind and body a chance to perceive that they are being deprived.

Along with the above attitude change, you can help achieve your goal by having on hand some hard candy. Whenever you feel the urge to smoke simply place a piece of candy in your mouth.

Don’t try to refrain from smoking “forever”. Simply refrain for the next couple of hours.

I, personally, know that the above works. I smoked for 30 years and was up to two packs a day. I successfully became a non-smoker 22 years ago. It wasn’t always easy and I still have nightmares that I’ve started smoking again and “blown” my smoke-free record but then I wake up and am thankful it was only a dream.

The candy I used was “Gobstopper” Jaw Breakers. The lasted about 10 minutes each and effectively replaced the craving for a cigarette.

You, too, can become a non-smoker, even if you’re surrounded by people who smoke. It is your choice. When offered a cigarette you don’t say “no thanks, I’m trying to quit” but instead state “no thanks, I don’t smoke”.

Good Luck!
