Well, in order to get your papers to become a legal immigrant you either have to be married or sponsored. If you get married and get your papers and everything if you get divorced it doesnt matter you've already got your papers so you're good to go. What it means to be sponsored in is a company that you work for has to prove that you van do they job better than a white person, which is really hard to prove so usually they find some ignorant chick to marry, get their papers, and say Audios!
Ya, TY pretty much summed it up. I dated a German National that married a soldier 20 years ago then divorced him about six years ago. She is still not a U.S. Citizen. She chooses to keep her German Citizenship because she owns A lot of property in Germany that she would relinquish if she became a U.S. Citizen. She is applying for dual citizenship, which is very hard, but she will probably get it because she has good reason.
It take several years to become a U.S. citizen (about 5 if you go through the whole process). Once you're a citizen though, divorce will not revoke your citizenship. It actually takes quite an extreme measure to revoke citizenship (like treason). Which is why citizenship isnt handed out. There's a whole process. You do not become a citizen automatically through marriage.
if that person gets marries with a citizen and that citizen gets the illegal immigrant a visa or green card..if they get divorce..the illegal immigrant would still have his or her visa or green card..but if that citizen doesnt declare the illegal immigrant then it doesnt matter if they are married that person will still be illegal
he didnt get citizenship, but got a green card! :( If it wasnt for me & my family friend that vouched for his sorry @ss he would be nothing!
good question...i wish I knew when i was getting a divorce...maybe I could have gotten his @ss deported...that pendejo!(sorry :P)
If you're illegal, your illegal....Marriage doesn't make you a legal citizen, tho it might help you become a legal immigrant.
