If you trim your hair, does it make a difference?

Alright. You know how, they say, if you trim your hair, it will grow faster? Why is that? If your hair grows from the root, which is the top of your head, why should it matter or not, if you trim your hair? Just wondering,;

thanks! ^^

hmmm…I want my hair to grow faster…but…I dont know…yeah I have split ends…but why trim them if…it doesnt affect the growth? I guess ill never know…

Answer #2

because if you don’t trim them off, the split ends will just get worse and worse until your hair just turns to crap and eventually you’ll be forced to cut off a whooole bunch of hair.. which is definitely not what you want. might as well get a tiny trim every now and then, rather then having to chop 6 inches off by christmas!

Answer #3

because split ends make the bottom of your hair weaker and more prone to breakage. the more you have, the more likely the bottom bits of your hair strands will break off. so you cut off the spilt ends to aviod that happening. that way the bottoms stay healthy, the top will grow and no more of the stand should break off

Answer #4

because trimming the hair regularly=getting rid of split ends and fried tips. no split ends and fried tips=healthier hair. healthier hair=faster growing. it’s all about keeping the hair healthy.

Answer #5

From what I’ve read - Cut your hair frequently. It is better to trim a minimal amount of hair often, than it is to cut off a whole lot once a year, as your hair stays in healthier condition.
