I need to change my lip ring early, opinions?

I got it done a few weeks ago and generally im a very fast healer…I need to put a clear ring in for an interview I have coming up because I don’t want it to close up…what everyones opinion

Answer #1

I think that should b fine but right after the interview change it back and then id keep it in for a while longer =]

Answer #2

It depends… how many weeks is a few?

The first time I got mine done I did the same thing your planning on doing (I had it in for 3 weeks and I’m generally a fast healer as well…) but it got irritated and it had to be completely removed… which sucked…

I’d keep it the way it is, and go to the interview as is…

I don’t think the risk is worth it…

The peircing will NOT heal with a clear retainer in it. Clear retainers are for HEALED piercings. If you put it in chances are it will become swollen and get a possible infection. And trust me it is not fun to have to get a piece of plastic removed from your face. You then will have to close up the piercing, take antibiotics, and later on get repierced. If you are putting a clear ball on a surgical steel post then you would be fine. But do not put a retainer in.

The thing is if I get the job I think ill keep the clear one in till its completely healed…its been about a week and a half and its already almost completely healed it was the same with my tongue I had to change that early because the metal ball was to heavy for my tongue to heal…thats how insanely fast I heal…so if I do change it im probably going to continue cleaning it and what not and keep the clear ball in
