How can I build a relationship with my Dad?
my dad is an open minded person.. he is 37 and goes to goth shows. and he usualy talks to me about how I hate my mom, why my family is the way it is, and music. but like I don’t know how to tell him I dont believe in god or that I think im depressed ect. I dont live with him. I dont realy have that close of a relationship with him. I dont know him to well either. I just started getting to know him because my boyfriend took me up there to talk to him. the rest of my family hates him. I hate the rest of my family, so its kinda hard to talk to him. I want to build my relationship with him but I dont know how.. and like I kinda feel bad because I dont love him.. I take love seriously and I dont lable people with love just because they are my family. (I did untill most of my family proved they didnt love me) I kinda have to have people convince me to love them by how they back up their so called love. so I have no idea how to tell him my taboo secrets that only my boyfriend knows.
Its ok to feel this way, my advice would be to go and see him more and talk more with him about life, and when you start feeling comfortable that he is paying attention and listening then start telling him about your life and so on.
