Add those with variables and transpose 16 to the side of 84 and reverse the sign 4L=84+16

Add 16 to 84. 4L=100

Divide 100 by 4 L=25

So, the first length is 25 Second length is 25 First width is 25-8 or 17 Second width is 17 too.

50+34 is 84. the rectangle’s perimiter is 84 so that checks that the answer is correct.

x+(x+1)+(x+2)=126 Move all the xs beside each other and move the constants beside each other so its easier to understand: X+x+x+1+2=126 Add the 3 xs (it is 3x because x is like 1x) 3x+3=126 transpose 3 to the side of 126 and reverse the sign (dunno why, its a rule). 3x=126-3 Subtract 3 from 126 3x=123 Divide 123 by 3 X=41

So, x or the first number is 41 X+1 or the second number is 42 X+2 or the third number is 43.

This is the same as the odd consecutive numbers, but instead of x, x+1, x+2, I think you need to find:
