"How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?"
One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.
But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.
"What should a minimum calorie intake be?"
As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

I agree with above...you can get skinny overnight by binging and purging or diet pills. Eat right, lots of protien, fruits and veggies, watch your carbs and dairy, and work out. That is truly the heathly way anyone can loose weight. If you don't like to work out, try something fun that you LIKE to do; walking, cleaning your house, even putt putt golf. As long as you're active and not just sitting on the couch you are burning calories. Also, a lot of gyms have fun classes you can take like salsa and kickboxing. These are all great healthy ways to get your heart rate up and start sheding some inches.
How long did it take you to get fat? 5 years? 10? Think of losing it in those same terms. Rapid weight loss is unhealthy and almost never lasts.
If you want to permanently lose the monkey on your back, you have to think of it as a lifelong battle, and start fighting it. Your goal should not be "I want to look like a supermodel in a month". Your goal should be "I want to make continuous steady progress toward my goal" - much like learning a new language or how to play an instrument.
