If you got a shot for birthcontrol a lot of times you don’t get your period, dont worry, I was on the shot for 3 years and got my period twice, its normal.

im on the pill and the month or so after I started taking it my period didnt come and I was really worried. but I asked my doctor and they said this is normal and that it was just my body getting used to the contraceptive. if you want go and ask them about it, theyl be happy to help and its free (depending on where you live) if not think about when you might have got pregnant and if there is a big chance and if your still worried then get a pregnancy test, they are pretty cheap, noone has to know who you are of anything and there easy to hide after youv taken it. I did that and it really calmed me down! hope I helped

Nothing is wrong, except that you didn’t find out about the medication that you were talking before getting it.

A VERY COMMON side effect of taking the depo provera shot is to stop menstruating. There are other side effects to it as well, for example:

70% of women using Depo Provera have weight gain.

Irregular, heavy, or no bleeding are common side effects of Depo Provera.

Other side effects of Depo Provera can include headaches, nervousness, mood changes, bloating, hot flashes, decreased interest in sex, breast tenderness, acne, hair loss, and back ache.

It can take over 6 months for the effects of the depo to disappear.

Furthermore if you use the depo provera, you could end up with irreversible bone loss, that is why it is crucial that you take a calcium supplement and have a healthy, balanced diet.
