I have trichotillomania... what should I do.

trichotillomania is an ocd related disorder wear you pull out your own hair. its getting to the point were I cant hide it, and it really shows and is extremely obvious. what can I do to help me stop pulling. any tricks to just help! and if there is anyone else who has the same thing as me that I can just talk to id GREATLY appreciate it.

my friend ebony had that dissorder. she would actually told me little details like she could NOT stop doing it. she would try sitting on her hands or attempt other ways as far as sedating herself. I am NOT reccomending that. I convinced her to cut her hair extremley short, so she culd NOT grasp anything to pull. but its all about how you want your appearence. theres some stylish hairstyles you can get I have a mohawk now…just keep your hawk a lil shorter…whatever helps yahh know! if you wanna talk let me know…

You are an intelligent person. You have suffered with this disorder for a while. I know that medications aren’t very effective. And, without in depth counselling to help you learn to help yourself, it even sounds like an impossible thing to overcome. I want you to start doing research, here on line and in your local and school library. You need to focalize on your disorder and educate yourself against it.
