I have three average meals, breakfast lunch and dinner, and I have normal portions, and I don't snack during the day... this is how it has always been, but more often now I feel hungry like I want a snack between meals...
Does anyone know why?
what valekdmog said basically, and if you are a young teenager? like 13/14 then your going through puberty and you'll probably need to start having snacks between meals as your metabolism is changing! You will probably find that you start sleeping differently as well. But don't worry about it as its life and if your body is telling you its hungry its probably a good idea to listen to it! Are you quite a healthy weight? If your too thin your body will be telling you to eat more! Try slow release energy foods like porridge (if you like it), nuts and seeds, etc
You like me are probaly a teenager. Teens have a more constant hunger because of our everchanging body and busy school schedules. Metabolism is some things to consider. Eve ask your doctor. Are you depressed in any way? Depression leads to stress eating. All these need to be in thought when you eat. Are you eating fast? Eating slow and chewing more gives the stomach an easier job of digesting Aand filling your belly.
