Am I wrong to have sex for this reason?

I dont want to lose my virginaty by being raped. And I have to walk to work through a neighborhood where that well most likely happen, there is no bus and I can’t afford a car, I have pepper spray and know how to defend myself. But I am small and not very strong. I have almost been raped in situations where I thought I was safe from that. So my question is, should I just do it so that my first time is good and I was in control, or does it really not matter. I am so confused!

You are confused, you think being raped whether it is your first time with sex or not makes a difference? Being raped is horrifying and traumatizing and quite frankly it doesnt matter if you’re a kid or someone who’s been married for 30 years. My advice is try and avoid those situations and get out as soon as you can…

I live in south africa and this country is HELL! all my friends and family are immigrating why dont you just leave your area and rent somewhere safer for now

if something were to happen like that, go for his genitilas, make sure you hurt them that way he wont be able to stand, let alone chase after you if you feel like your not even safe in your own neighbourhood, get out its sounds like a horrible situation to be in and you shouldnt feel like you have to have sex soon, you should do it when your ready both you and the other person, and you should both feel 100% comfortable about it having sex isnt about being in control, its about trust do it when you feel comfortable, and when you trust the other person
