How to train a chihuahua that pee's while in his crate

1and a half years old male 6lbs.sticks his you know what in the direction to pee outside the crate, though the grates of his crate. poops all the time! How can he have that much and poos all day long, not after a meal? He is lightening quick and very quiet, he is gone into another room and back before I know it? I crate him during the day. And am trying to control the area of the house he is allowed in until he is fully trained. he also went to man best friend for a 2 week training where he was boarded the entire time.

I can’t tell from what you say, if he’s simply not housetrained or if he’s just so territorial he’s marking everything. If he’s going in his crate, then you have a real problem on your hands. Once that instinctive barrier has been breached it’s near impossible to keep them from doing it.

If they didn’t housetrain him at “Man’s Best Friend”…what exactly DID they train him to do??

Take spray bottle, fill it with water and everytime you catch him lifting his leg give him a little spray he wont like it and eventually he’ll learn if he does that waters coming. Sounds a little mean but water doesnt hurt them and its better then hitting him
