How to Rewrite these Equations??

The following equations are in slope-intercrept form (y=mx+b) and I need to put them in standard form (ax+by=c).

y = 1/2x-1 (y equals one half x subtract one)

y = -4x+5 (y equals negative four x plus five

y= -1 1/4x-3 1/4 (y equals negative one and one fourth x subtact three and three fourths)

y= 0 (y equals 0)

This is algebra I and its chapter five review and crap… I really dont understand how to do it and my math teacher really isnt here right now, so could someone tell me what they are in standard form?

Answer #1

y=1/2x-1 -1/2x+y=-1

y=-4x+5 4x+y=5

y=-1 1/4 x - 3 1/4 1 1/4x + y = -3 1/4

y=0 y = 0

ax+by=c is basically telling you that the x is your a, your why is your b and the constant is your c.
