Ask them if you can have a (name a pet they’d REALLY hate!), after they say no way, then ask them for (the next worst thing to what they’d hate). After they tell you no, then ask them if they’d let you keep a rabbit instead, seeing as they wouldn’t let you have those other choices. Chances are, they’ll be happier about letting you have a rabbit (rather than a tarantula or a boa constrictor!!!)

I have two rabbits and I want another one, too. If you have any other pets than show that you can take care of them. I put notes on their bed saying stuff like, “Why I want a rabbit” and other things. Put pictures of rabbits on their bed, books, and all sorts of stuff that has to do with rabbits. I’m hoping it will work with my parents. Good Luck!!!

Well, I am also in the process of trying to persuade my folks to get me a little bunny friend. For a year, I would bug them and beg, and every single answer I got, was a quick no. So finally, I wrote them a 3 page persuasive essay, the first half was why I want one, and the second half was how I would care for s/he. It actually did a lot of good. Now, my dad is okay with it. Though my mom isn’t fully convinced, she is finally considering. Its a work in progress. Haha

monkeygrrrl16: you shoud`nt have a monkey , they are wild animals , do you think a monkey is happy in the house?! also they are very destructive and if you have a cold they can get it 2. they are cute when they are babies but when they grow upn they arew a nightmare , ruining the house , making noise , biting , etc. also your monkey was probably captured illegaly in the jungle , his mother was killed and he was stuffed into a tiny cage and nearly died. do you know that 4 every monkey captures in the wild and sold, 3 other monkies , (teir mothers , siblings, whatever) had 2 die?!!! do you know the inhuman conditions these animals are shipped in? do you know that some are endangered species that are almost extinct? and all this to please some spoiled humans that are ignorsant. please , although you may luv this monkey , DO NOT KEEP IT turn it in to the police or whatever , but trust me thay are so not pets and if you keep it it will be miserable if you want an exotic pet get a ferret or something.

I saw this cgorgeous rabbit recently, and its the most adorable baby rabbit I have ever seen in my life. But not so long ago, last year or so, my other rabbit died. And my mum says its because I didnt look after it. But I did! And now I asked her if I could get this rabbit, as I have enough money. But she says I wont look after it. Now I dont know what to do, because I cant stop thinking about it. I’ve named it and everything! Any ideas on how to persuade her to let me have it? I keep thinking of ideas but I’ve got nothing. :| Please help me!

Thanks xxx

I have a hamster and I find it really hard to look after because it bites me all the time. I think it would be easier to look after a rabbit and my mum says no. I am using two stuffed toy rabbits in a cardboard box to prove to my mum that im responcable and I will clean it out all the time. Maybe you could try a toy rabbit in a box for a few months like I am to let them know you are responcable? It may sound stupid, but it will probably work!
