How to make this stop?

I have 3 cats. One male and two female. All are the same age. Within a couple weeks of each other. They will be a year old in April.

Anyway, my male cat (Luke), has been tying to get my cat Jade pregnant. But Luke leaves Moo alone. We don’t have the money to ge him fixed as my dad doesn’t have a job right now. Once I get my job back in May, I plan to get him fixed. When Luke tries to get her pregnant, Jade pulls away and hides. Obviously, she doesn’t want babies. And we don’t want her to be pregnant.

So how can we gt him to leave her alone? This all started a few days ago. And he hasn’t left her alone all day today.

Without having to get him fixed, is there a way to make him stop?

Answer #1

It doesn’t take much for a female cat to get pregnant, so she might be pregnant already.

Answer #2

I can’t keep them in seperate rooms. They need to eat and use the litter box and run around. So that’s out.

Answer #3

If we get him fixed, we’ll be fine. They’re indoor cats so they won’t be able to get pregnant from another male.

Answer #4

seperate rooms thts all you cud do

Answer #5

Keep them in seperate rooms until you can get them fixed. And Im pretty sure they aren’t old enough to form babies yet, I had this SAME proplem with my cats, But they are more than a year old and they still aren’t old enough to make babies yet.

Answer #6

well what you could do is take turns like keep one in a room with food and water and a litter box and then swich off every 2 hours maybe that way you can keep them separate without keeping them locked in all the time or put a dyper on luke!! lol

Answer #7

I hate to tell you but she is more then likly already pregnant. It is not a good feeling for a female cat to mate, A male cat has barbs on the end of their Penis, for two reasons but that is another story) so anyway he just goes up and boom, boom, boom, and they are done They do not get “tied” like dogs do. I would expect to see changes in her soon. Unless they are separated you can not keep them from breeding. (this is nature and instinct) If you don’t have a lot of money check with your local spay and neuter clinics to see what they charge. I know ours around here is like $50 to get it done. If you need anymore info let me know. If you can’t afford to get a cat neutered then you will not be able to afford all the kittens that could multiply right before your eyes.

Answer #8

There are cheap places that will do it for $25-30, you just need to look for them…

Answer #9

The thing about cats is…once they go out of heat, if they weren’t impregnated, they go right back in…Getting the male neutered will help within the house…but you’re still going to have to put up with two females in almost constant heat (that will bring other Tom’s around, causing cat fights, etc)…

I’d be looking for a spay/neuter clinic…they might give you even a better deal if you bring three at once…here they do feral cats at $10 a pop…

Answer #10

Yeah, but you’ll be living with two females perpetually in heat…my cat always made sooo much noise when she was in heat…also, the “they won’t get pregnant by another male”…could be famous last words…all it takes is door to be open for less than 30 seconds.
