How to delay a menstrual cycle?

How can you delay or make your menstrual cycle come early?

Answer #1

can I buy some med to delay my periods?

Answer #2

3 days before your period is supposed to start you need to take 400 mg of ibuprofen 3 times per day. Continue for up to 4 more days. There is a 50% chance that this will delay or extremely lighten your period.

Good luck!

Answer #3

MaryJanel, did you try this method and did it work?

Answer #4

You can only do this on hormonal birth control and even then you don’t really have control. To delay it or make it sooner you have to change your level of estrogen and progesterone. (lots of women skip their periods on purpose on the pill, different pills offer minimal menstrual cycles ex- Seasonel is only 4 periods a yr, Lybrel is no periods a year etc.)

hi I’m also wondering this. it’s a big problem when you have exams or something important and you know its going to ruin everything because of the pain. stress does affect your cycle, but I think it can vary in it’s result. if someone does knoe some way without taking the pill or anything destructive like that, can they please share. periods are a pain.

This was not exactly what I was searching for, but happened to find this page and thought I’d give some advice. I found this out Totally by accident(and have never “used it” for a purpose)…when I was with a boyfriend (about 5 years ago…an ex now…still tries to contact me..ick) and he made me orgasm (he was the first one to do that) via going down, I suddenly got my period during the sex that followed…about 5 days early! And yes, what happened during sex was an actual period, it continued for about 5 days. I guess it has to do with the spasming of the reproductive area during orgasm…I guess it “shakes the fluids loose”. If you dont have a boyfriend, perhaps try a vibrator. If you dont orgasm..hmmm…maybe try pressing/massaging your abdomen? I mainly experienced this during sex, after the orgasm, so I think banging against the cervix helps (although hurts). As far as delaying it, I dont know, im sorry. Maybe Depo Provera or something. ~VA Shevi P.S. I was telling a guy friend about what happened, and he said calmly “Yeah, that can happen if you orgasm” as if he had heard about it before…but I never had and im a female! lol But then again, I have mostly guy friends
