How to calm myself..first job.

anything I can drink,eat or do to calm myself from being so nervous about starting my first job,my stomach is all knotted up .

um.. try just breathing slowly and fully. also a good old cup of tea can help too, did me some good before my football game last wednesday

Perform some breathing techniques,listen to music to take it off your mind. I felt the same way about starting at my school last September,but I got passed it by watching dozens of videos. Talk to random people about random things. Good luck with it!

Have a vodka & pineapple juice, haha. Sorry, that wasn’t good advice…drink some tea. Don’t have coffee or energy drinks which can make you jittery. It’s normal to be nervous. Remember that everyone else working there had to go through the first day jitters. They will almost always try to make you feel comfortable as they know how it feels, at least in my experience that has happened. Just focus on how you are lucky to have a job in times like these when many are out of work. Be happy, smile, think positive thoughts.

Just try some breathing techniques, focus on your breathing and sit still, Just drink water and eat a light meal something like Fruits they give you energy without making you feel super energized. Remember there is no reason to be stressed out the first days are the easiest!
