How should I handle my ex-boyfriend?

After 7 months of crying over my ex boyfriend, I’ve finally moved on. Now, I have a new man that im head over heels for. then all the sudden my ex boyfriend starts talking to me [over the internet]. It seems like every time he talks to me, I remember how things used to be and it hurts. I start to wonder if maybe im not over him. Talking to him leaves me so confused and sad. So the other day, I ignored him when he tried to talk to me. I figured hed give up, but he didn’t. me ignoring him only made him try even harder to get my attention. I know how guys are, they love the chase. If he were to get me to go out with him again, he’d lose interest fast and move on to some other girl, leaving me heart broken again. I want to be friends with my ex boyfriend because he meant a lot to me.. And I think he will always have a special place in my heart. But I don’t think im ready to be friends with him right now [even though I want to BADLY]. What should I do next time he tries to talk to me?

Dear xoxelizabeth92, Maturity 101…you can not and should not remain friends with an EX…they are called ex for a reason. You need to put him in the past where he belongs. Why do you talk with him on-line? This is your fatal mistake…again…there is plenty of good evidence that staying friends with an ex not only hurts you but will hurt all your relationships in the future. Put yourself in your current boyfriends shoes for a minute, now be thankful if he doesn’t leave you because of this. What should you do…stop all communication with the EX and then write down all the reason it didn’t work with him. Both these things will help you get over him and quickly. Sue…good luck
