How should an adult go about going back to school? Online?

Home More advice Education & School

I am 27 years old, married with no children, and I would like to go back to school to get a better job. I graduated from high school in 2000 and have never furthered my education. I'm looking into Community Colleges in my area and also considering online schools for an associates degree in...something I can make money doing at a stable job, lol. I have no idea what I want to do, which stopped me from going to college 10 years ago. Now I realize I'll never know what I want to be when I grow up, so basically I just want a job that isn't bartending. :) If you or someone you know has ever been a 'non-traditional' adult student, what made you decide to go back to school? Did you opt for classroom learning or online classes? What online schools are accredited and offer quality educations that employers find desirable? How do I begin my search and get the answers and peace of mind that I need before I sign up for classes? Sorry-lots of questions...lol Any advice or push in the right direction would be great! Thanks.
