you can get arrested and be charged with being an accomplice was they other eprson did was theft so if they get caught theyll be charged with theft and youll be charged as being an accomplice

Depending on the value of the item you are accused of stealing, a theft charge can either be a misdemeanor or a felony.. In addition to being convicted of theft it can carry consequences for the rest of your life. Employers may be less inclined to hire someone with a theft conviction because of the implication that the person is dishonest. It doesn’t matter if you or your friend took the bike, if you are present at the time of the crime you are just as responsible. So please find some new friends to hang around.
