How is my monroe piercing going to heal right?

I got a monroe piercing about a week ago I asked the piercer to put in the lonest post he had because my lips are already a good size and I knew the swelling would make it a lot bigger, he told me that I should start seeing a huge change in about 3-5 days and that the swelling would be gone. I know the healing process is longer but my lip got so swollen to the point where I couldnt even feel the flat back and now that the swelling has gone down my lip is fine on the outside but I still cant feel the flat back inside my mouth, its covered with my skin and its red I followed every instruction he gave me and I called him back and told him the problem and he said it would heal but I dont see how because its completly covered with my skin…If anyone else has had this problem or know what to do please help because I am truely scared and I dont want this stuck in my lip.

I think you should pay your piercer a visit and show him your lip and if he still says that it just needs some time to heal, perhaps you should go see a doctor and ask him. Who knows maybe it’s infected, though if it is DO NOT take it out, treat it, but don’t take it out or the infection’ll stay where it is…

I did it myself.I didnt hurt.it hurts now and its very swollen also.I cant even c the back of the jewelry either.but just dont take it out.everybody chickens out.just dont use peroxide OR alcohol.peroxide damages the GOOD cells required 2 heal. just pay your piercer a nice visit and stay calm.seriously my lip could like fit in a DD bra. its so wierd.lol goodluck! <3

When i peirced my own lip, you couldnt see the back, at all. The swelling will go down, and it might even be like a dent where the back was, but it will eventually go back to normal. I freaked out when my lip did it. But its normal(:
