How does FunAdvice know where I live?
i notcied that it tells the location of you on here but when you signup it doesnt ask you anything about your zip, or address or city or anything. how do they know this?
Hi!
FunAdvice gets your location information through your computer’s IP address automatically. An IP address is a computer address, and it’s unique for each computer. Usually, it’s determined by your Internet Service Provider.
FunAdvice has a program that automatically can tell your area of residence based on this IP address of your system. They don’t know your exact address or anything, just generally.
