I have a ccker spaniel that is now pregnant yay!! She is the Sweetest dog in the whole world lol. I wouldnt trade her for the world. Im a little disappointed at the history of these dog though. I here they have health issues later. I'm a little frieghtened about this pregnancy and labor. Any Suggestions
Get a relationship going with a Vet ... should there be any problems at whelping time, you will have someone to call for help.
Get the whelping box set up early, so she can get used to it
Study up on whelping puppies, so you will know what to look for, and what to do for her...most pups are born smoothly, but you never know. Best be prepared for any contingency.
Yes there are genetic problems with Cockers, as with most dogs. Hopefully, you know the Cocker standards, and know her pedigree...and you chose a stud dog with a great pedigree also, to avoid those problems.
