How do you convince your dad to get a puppy

How do you convice your dad to get a puppy

Answer #1

to do this you have to be very responsible cause a dog takes a lot of tlc, like walks, feeding, bathing and time for you and your dog to have playing time with each other. To show that your responsible you have to do things thats you would do with a dog like: bath often, make food for your family to show that you can feed the dog, and also go out for more walks to show that you can walk to dog morning and night, and last but not least CLEAN more often to show them that you can clean after the dog. you can do a presentation to show how you would take care of it and tell him what type of dog you would like. but if he says he will think about it dont keep on asking him or he will say no. let him have time to think about it.

Do you already have another pet? Because, I have the same problem right now and my parents said when I am 15, and right now I am 11, so I don’t want to wait that long but, I already have fish and a bunny and my mom said I could get it sooner (the dog, that is) if I clean them more often and spend more time with my bunny and so on. So, maybe, if you don’t have any-other pets, see if you could get a bunny or hamster and take very good care of it and prove you are very responsible and ready for a dog.

Thanks.

Beg a little but after he says no mpe around to house for a couple of days. XP Then start working hard, helping out more than usual. And what one9red9rose said, leave a note saying like “please? I know I can take care of this dog! I know I have the resposinibilyty!!! (SP!! :P DONT WRITE SP! XD) please?” and you know write other stuff and tell him how much you want this and how much you love him and your mom and syblings. (: I did this to get my pets and it worked eveytime! XD

If you’re 13, then you will be anywhere from 26 to 29 before this puppy grows old and dies. Maybe you dad doesn’t want the responsiblity for the majority of this dogs life?

Getting a dog has to be a “family” decision, something EVERYbody wants…it’s your parents who will be responsible for it, once you leave home.

Answer #5

dont beg for a while and just let it go…be responsible and about a month later leave a cute little letter saying how you have been responsible and had not said anything about it for a while and then see what he says…if it is no then that is that…im not sure if he will give in.

Answer #6

Rather than convincing him by begging him, show him you are responsible, e.g. do all your chores and help out around the house. Also tell him exactly how you will be taking care of the puppy…remember it’s a big responsibility, it needs food, walks and constant attention and will need to be house trained.

Answer #9

i have had a dog ago and i got him from writing a sincere letter. you tell your dad or mom everything on what you are going to do to benefit the family and the dog you have to be honest if you aren’t your dad or mom is going to get mad and regret getting the dog and life will be hell or that puppy or dog is out the door, you have to research the breed you want or what shelter you want to go to. reminder a shelter adoption saves a life make sure in the letter you tell them all the good things of owning a dog make sure you are ready for the responsibility that comes from a dog {if it is a puppy train it early don’t be fooled by looks} GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
