How do I wear a tampon?

I just tried putting in a tampon, but it really hurts as I slide it in. Im 13 so obviously havent had sex or anything. How do I put it in safely? Thanks

well I am 13 and ii just started useing them I use the really small ones for now and they dont hurt at all

Tampons should never hurt or be uncomfortable. Try using the tampons called ‘slender’ and never use a higher absorbency tampon than you need for your flow.

Im 15 and I have never tried using a tampon. Tampons can make you sick because its kinda unnatural to shove a thing of cotton up urself. you sure you cant go without them? well, theres directions on the box, and maybe the best way to ask someone how to use them is in person. you just kinda find the hole, and then push it up there with the applicator. Its probably not going to be comfortable so be careful. If this isnt specific enough you shud ask a female that uses them who is really close to you. I had my best friend instruct me through it, which is why im telling you what she told me. just be gentle, and it might be easier on urself. hope I helped :)
