How do I sync music from one ipod to another?

I just got a new ipod last week and brought it over to my friends house so I could download her music to my ipod. We synced all of her music onto my ipod and then when I went home to plug it back into my computer it deleted all of my songs! I know it is probaly illegal to download someone elses itunes music onto your ipod but now I cant get my songs back unless I go over to my friends house and sync her songs back onto my ipod. But then we I go to update it on my computer all of the songs will just delete again. So I am wondering how you can sync music from one ipod to another with out all of your music deleting. And yes, I have itunes.

Apple figured this out and prevents you from sharing music this way. They don;t consider the iPod to be a “destination device” so you can sync to your itunes account and then sync to your device. Hopefully, you can reverse the steps to get your music back, but it’s not a good idea to try to share music across two iPods even if there is a way to get it done, it’s likely to backfire on you again
