How do I heal / close my gauges?

I gauged my ears to a double 0 (00) and now I’ve taken them out because I dont want them anymore. But now its been 3 days and they show no sign of closing. Will they ever close?

Well I was at 9/16 and it’s been like a week and they’re already like size 6 status but that’s only me. I’ve just been using alcohol pads to clean them whenever I can and it helps to keep them clean

I had a simple piercing in my earlobe - I quit wearing an earing over five years ago and can still put one in, if I want. ear plugs are dicey - you force your earlobe to grow to fit them, and when you quit wearing the plugs, the holes remain. They are not likely to shrink a lot.

00 is a pretty significant stretch and there’s no guarantee that they’ll ever close up.

I’d give it at least two weeks before I start getting concerned about it though. Worst case scenario - you’ll have to have them stitched closed.

From what my fiance says (and he has stretched ears), anything bigger than a 0 and you risk it never closing. Depending on your body, it could take up to a year for them to heal shut. For some people, above a 0 is permanent. A friend of mine just had plastic surgery to get his 00’s closed. Idiotic choice to stretch them that big, IMO, without realizing that could happen…
