How do I get my son to sit on the potty without throwin a huge fit?

If he is not coping with a potty maybe jump to conclusions and start with the toilet.

I know my mom did the reward thing for me and my sis…so I would try that.

Beat him until he gets it?

let him see someone else going potty. do you have any other kids that wouldn’t mind sitting on a potty? lol. they might not want to because it would be embarrassing, but if you could, then get them to sit on it and give them a lollypop or something afterwards. let your son see that they got a reward for going potty. also if its someone he looks up to (a brother or sister) he will be more inclined to go potty because they did, all younger siblings want to be like their older siblings.

or you could buy a bag of lollies and eat one in front of him, he will ask for one, and you can say ‘’only if you use the potty’’. But if he dosent use the potty, do not give him a lolly because then he wins and he will see that he dosent have to use the potty because you will give him a lolly anyway.

hes just going through a phase, he might be scared to use it, or he might feel like this is a marker of him growing up (which it is) and he may not want to grow up because he likes being mummy’s baby boy.
