How do I clip a dog's nails?

How do I clip a dogs nails without hurting him. I always am afraid to sooo yh… a little help please!!!

Definitely get someone to show you or at least talk you through it in person. It is really easy to do once you see it. A vet/groomer/pet store employee/breeder could help you. Dont be afraid, some dogs wills scream like you stabbed them even though you didnt get the quick, they are just scared and uncomfortable, you are not hurting them.

If his nails are white, then the quick is much easier to see…black nails it’s impossible. You only want to clip the ends. Why not take him to a groomer and let them show you how to do it?

After you buy a nail clip for your dogs. Read what the manual says, because thats what I did. I usually clip my dog’s nail during a day time because its easy to clip. So when you start clipping you have to see where its blood ciculation by reflecting their nail to sunlight. After you see that you start clipping your dog’s nail until 3 cm away from the blood circulation.

You can take him to a groomers, thats what I do, or you get dog that are pet safe and dont hurt them.
