I love dogs, and really want a dog! First of all what type of a dog should I get! I'm 14 and love any kind of dog, but want it cute, maybe a lap dog to go with the families big dog. I've tried cleaning my room, feeding the dog, brushing and bathing the dog, and even feeding the dog! Does anyone know how to get a mom to get you a dog? I even have been buying my own things that why she'll have more money:). Oh, she is also resonable most of the time!!!

Lol. Right. And what happens in 4 years when you're no longer at home? You're either working or in school? Or if you move out for college? Your mother is then stuck with the dog? This has nothing to do with you being ready or not, this has to do with your mother deciding whether she wants to keep a dog long after you've moved out. Not to mention, you're not going to be able to afford food or vet visits for quite a while.
like you said in your question you clean bathe and take care of your dog you just need to keep up the hard work and make some plans for the dog and show your mom what you have in mind. after some hard work and a good conversation with your mom im sure your mom will be happy that you want a dog and go along with it.(p.s. you could also raise some money to pay for half of the vet bills or food.,)
