How can I move in with my Dad instead of my Mom?

Im 13 and i dont like living with my mom and i want to live with my dad can i move in with my dad ?

Since you are a minor, i believe that your parents have some say over where you are going to be cared for best, this also means that they both decided who would get full time custody of you when they divorced. But you could discuss with your mom why you feel it’s necessary to live with your dad instead of her. If both of your parents agree to it then there isn’t a problem. good luck xoxo Marissa

Dear ilivewithmydad39, Well your first question is about mom not liking your b/f and this one about moving out to live with dad. So we will assume that you want to move out because your mother doesn’t like your boyfriend. This isn’t a condition that a court would have you move out legally. If your dad wants you to move in and your mother agrees then there isn’t a problem right? So unless they both agree at this point there is nothing you can do unless there is abuse at moms. Then you must seek out the police ASAP or a trusted adult. I’m sure you would have made dad aware of this by now right? So at this point until you are 16 or depending on the state you are in unless they both agree you are required to stay with mom. Sue…good luck
