How can I do Gym when it's "that time of the month" ?

Okaay, so I just got my period today, and I have gym tomorrow. At the moment its really awkward walking around cause it feels like im wadling , and I’ve never had to do Gym on my period yet . I dont mind having to do Gym like this, But im scared that my flow might come quicker, and that things might be reaally awkward . So do you have any tips as to how I can not need to worry about this ? (tampons are not an option, im not comfortable using them)

You have locker rooms right? Take a purse and keep some pads in it, your gym teacher should actually have some extra pads, or your school nurse. If you feel awkward, either talk to your gym teacher-but dont try to say you have cramps or whatnot, they’ll just make you run. Ask them to go to the bathroom (if you feel comfortable, most teachers understand and dont care) and they would dismiss you to use the bathroom or go to the nurse. if you feel like its coming heavily all of a sudden, just ask. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, we all go through it. Gym/Health/Nurses, are usually the most understanding ones, I have gym 1st period, I hate having to participate when im on my period too, but mines actually heavy, and I do use tampons. You should definitely start trying to use the tampon, especially if you have a swimming part of gym.

maybe just wear 2 pads or something and just keep changing them frequently if your flow comes quicker but wear sweatpants too if that makes you more comfortable because then you would feel more better when you’re moving around and you won’t have to worry when you’re wearing jeans so just don’t worry and remember-there are tons of other girls out there that feel the way you do so don’t worry
