The Eiffel Tower was built in France. It was not given by another country and was built in 1887-1889 as the entrance to the Exposition Universelle, a World’s Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution.
You might be thinking of the Statue of Liberty which was given to the U.S. by France.
