There's a flap of skin called your epiglottis, when is has a spasm, that's your hiccups. Drink milk, hold your breath, eat peanut butter, hang upside down, that's all I can think of right now. Try 'em out, buddy.
Drinking beer causes hiccups from what i`ve heard , but what also causes them is not drinking enough water so you should start drinking more water to prevent them.
The diaphragm spasms...take a teaspoon of white vinegar - it'll cure them instantly.
